Long and Ryle and VJB Arts are proud to present a new exhibition of recent paintings by John Monks. The show includes a triptych painting titled History II (2013). This work formed the centre piece of Monks’s one-man show, ‘Painting in Layers’, held at the Barber Institute of Fine Art, Birmingham in 2013.
John Monks has been described as ‘One of the most important painters working in Britain today.’ This exhibition brings his current work to a dramatic venue in the City of London in a building designed by Sir Norman Foster.
