Nick Archer’s new landscape paintings focus on our relationship with the natural world and its place in our imagination. His paintings present the in-between of a place both known and imagined. The works are made from beautiful passages of opulent colour which flood onto the canvas exposing interior landscapes. The fantastical yet familiar feel of the landscapes are achieved through Archer’s art practice of pouring and layering paint, thus creating rich texture. Nick Archer lives and works in East Sussex, England and was trained at the Royal Academy Schools in London.
